My Little Pony Crystal Princess The Runaway Rainbow: Review

This game is pretty much what you would expect from a title of its nature. Built only for promoting and profiting off the franchise; My Little Pony Crystal Princess- The Runaway Rainbow lacks in decent game mechanics and game play. It uses an outdated password system for storing your game progress on the Gameboy Advance, and your pony moves at a slow walking pace for the entirety of the game. There is no way to walk faster or run. The main objective of the game is to go through an assortment of mini-games (all of which are of the hum-ho variety) to move the story along. The cut scenes are not bad, but are recycled from higher quality scenes from the show so don't expect anything new. I would only recommend this game for the die hard My Little Pony fan or for children that like pastels and sparkles from ages 2-10. For everyone else, unless you're bored out of your mind or you enjoy mundane games; this is probably not the game for you.
