Kanken DS Training

Kanken Training DS is a Kanji learning tool. The Software works by determining your ability to identify the reading of kanji and places you at the appropriate level.
This software can be used by anyone who knows even a little bit of Japanese. Some of the modes available for this software are: Kanji reading, kana reading and kanji search. Kanji reading and kana reading mode shows the user a sentence with one or more kanji or kana underlined in red, the user can attempt to write the word out on the screen or pass the word. The user learns kanji by making mistakes, when you have completed a session you can continue to the next session or review the kanji for the last session. as you get more answers correctly, you are given different kanji, until you have reached the point where you cannot learn anymore. (over 10,000 kanji and over 500,000 readings possible to learn). Kanji search mode lets the user draw out kanji to find the reading as well as allow them to search for kanji by selecting the kana associated with it furthermore by selecting a kanji you can see example sentences of how the sentence can change the reading. There is also a feature that uses the DSi's Camera to scan and read QR codes (Quick Read codes) but requires the original cartridge to use.
