Tom And Jerry In Fists Of Furry: Review

Tom and Jerry: Fists of Furry (hereafter FoF) - published by Ubisoft in Europe - is a fighting game with a difference. Unlike typical fighting games that involve martial arts and sophisticated key combinations, FoF revolves around objects that are either wielded as weapons, thrown or punched. Yes, punched - you can actually punch a box or a crystal fountain and watch it slide and hit the other player - unless he punches it back.

As one might imagine, the main characters in FoF are Tom and Jerry - and they are the two that the player can start with. After completing the game as either, one unlocks other characters such as Duckling, Tuffy, Spike, etc.. The characters vary in terms of strength and speed - which provides for variety and balance.

I purchased and played this game about a decade ago and enjoyed it thoroughly. Anyone who wants to play, rather than just watch, a cartoon will relish it as well.

Now if only someone made a game of Dynomutt.
