Predating the Super Smash Bros. series by six years, Kart Fighter is a bootleg Street Fighter-style versus fighting game featuring the cast of Super Mario Kart (though some are listed with altered or Japanese names). Play as Mario ("Mari"), Luigi, Peach, Yoshi ("Yossy"), Bowser ("Koopa"), Donkey Kong Jr. ("Donkey"), Koopa Troopa ("Nokonoko"), or Toad ("Kinopio") and fight in locations from the Mario franchise such as a haunted house or the desert.
