RR64 - Ridge Racer 64

This game, simply rocks. Everything, from the moment you turn on the game just oozes quality. Obviously this is a port of sorts of the famous PSX arcade racing series and this is the best version before the quality started going southwards.

The first hing you notice about this game is the music. Oh, God, the MUSIC. It's beyond awesome, from the menu to the racing tunes and you just wait until you hear the replay theme. I literally had my hairs stand on end after playing for the first time in 10 years. Sound effects are also top-notch.

The graphics ofthis game are also excellent. Detailed cars, beautiful, crystal-clear graphics on the courses, no fog, no pop-up and a consistent and high framerate. Everything your racing game needs.

There's 10 stages in the game, unlocked gradually and then you unloock the mirror ones. Every stage you beat has a secret car you can unlock by racing against and beating it in car attack mode. There are also a few hidden cars, like the Galaga spaceship or a Pac-Man ghost.
